Now that much of the roof is in place it is easier to identify some of the areas of the house.

 This is the back covered porch.  This is one area of the house that looks bigger in person than it did on paper.   Some of the areas of the house look much smaller than I had envisioned.  This porch is much bigger than we thought.  Clearly a place we could have cut back had we realized.  Having said that, I Love It!  I think we will be so happy that we have it.

This is a porch off the side of the house by the garage doors.  This will go into the laundry room.  I'm picturing an old style screen door here.  I can already hear it slamming as the kids run in and out.  Reminds me of my Grandma's screen door on the back of her house.  Funny how that is a sound from childhood that sticks with me to this day.

This area is the master suite of the house.

The door pictured here is off the master bath along with the two windows on the corner.

Here comes the Crane - Sept 10

The roof arrived today.  They put much of together on the ground then use a crane to place them on the roof.

Here is some video of them placing the trusses on the roof.   The one guy gets quite a ride!

Sept 5th-8th

Even though this is a short week for the holiday, we are not short on progress.
Concrete has been poured in the garage:

The framing continues and there is finally rooms for us to walk in and out of!

And by the end of the week we even started to get some walls put up!

Day 32

One month into our project and we have been blessed with wonderful weather yet again!  The framing process continues:

Basement Floor Poured

They are taking a break from the framing to pour the concrete into the basement.  The framing can make a lot of dust that can detrimental to the basement floor.

Basement Prep

All the plastic is down in the basement waiting to get covered in concrete.  Unfortunately it will have to wait until after Labor Day!

Taking shape

So things are starting to take shape.

If you look closely you can see A and O checking out their new rooms.

This is the back of the house.  The Tyvek wrapped portion is the Master Bath.
